The first specialized exhibition for MICE, wellness & spa and winter tourism of South-Eastern Europe (SEE) – Winter & Spa Travel Market (WSTM) was held from October 23-25th in Novi Sad (Serbia). The organisers of WSTM 2014 were Turistička prizma Ltd. and the Centre for Tourism Development of Serbia (CERTUS). As the main organizer, Turistička prizma awarded companies from the SEE region for their contribution to tourism development. The goal of the awards “For the new quality” were, from the mere beginning, to enhance the quality of services in the tourism industry and to stimulate innovative ventures.

The business conference “Sustainable Development and Competitiveness of Tourism in South East Europe – SEET 2014” was held on May 14 at the Sava Center in Belgrade with the aim to identify the tourism value chain in Southeastern Europe (SEE), connect all relevant representatives of the tourism industry and encourage the creation of modern marketing strategies for marketing tourism products on the regional and global markets.
Modern marketing strategies for tourism products, development and innovation in the tourism and hospitality industry in the SEE region, sustainable development and competitiveness of tourist destinations, opportunities for the progressive development of medical, wellness & spa and Eco & Ethno tourism, and other relevant issues have been the focus of four organized panels, where 36 eminent speakers participated. In parallel with the conference, there have been as much as 127 B2B meetings between companies which shows great interest for further cooperation and competitiveness improvement of the tourism offer.
The opening word was held by Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Communications of the Republic of Serbia, Maida Ibrišagić Hristić, Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska and Slobodan Unković, professor emeritus.
Some of the eminent speakers at the 4 panels at the conference were: Prof. Slobodan Unković (Singidunum), Aleksandar Seničić (YUTA), Georgi Genov (HORES), Nikola Avram MK Mountain Resort, Matko Vrdoljak Habakuk Hotel Terme Maribor. Also participating in the panels were representatives of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Budva Riviera, Hotels Premier Aqua from Vrdnik, Hotel Aurora Resort in Macedonia, Tourist Organizations of Republika Srpska and Banja Luka, Hotel Palisad from Zlatibor, TA Kontiki, Montenegro Airlines, the City of Dubrovnik and the region’s leading media. Among the panelists was also Turistička Prizma, whose deputy director Nikola Mihajlovic, was the moderator of the third panel on “Sustainable Development and Competitiveness of tourist destinations in the region of SEE.”
The organizer of the conference, Mass Media International in Belgrade, organizes a growing number of events and a number of business professional conferences through which they provide the market of SEE useful and unique information and knowledge and draw attention of professionals and the general public to best practical examples in tourism, encouraging the creation of an affirmative partnership environment.
At the conference SEET 2014, “Brand Leader Award” prizes were given out which were awarded based on a number of standardized criteria that include innovation, a high degree of market recognition and positioning of the authentic product. The award is given for ten years in order to promote the most prominent companies, institutions, individuals and media who, through a continuation of positive development of innovative strategies set higher standards, promote the market and make an outstanding contribution to the popularization of the potential in creating a competitive market image of the region. One of this year’s awards was given to the company Turistička Prizma.
After a successful journey of international group of journalists through Vojvodina in 2013, FIJET Serbia (Association of tourism journalists and travel writers Serbia) and Turistička prizma company organized journey through Vojvodina again this year from 10 to 13 April 2014. The journey called “Welcome to Vojvodina 2014” was supported by Tourism organization of Vojvodina and Provincial Secretariat for Economy, Employment and Gender Equality. Journalists and tour operators from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Russia, together with colleagues from Serbia, have spent 4 days “by the beautiful blue Danube” and had the opportunity to visit Novi Sad, Fruška Gora and bank of the Danube on Srem side, Sombor and Apatin . In addition to exploring towns and tourist attractions of Vojvodina, group also visited the 47th International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad and the 4th International Workshop by Turistička prizma – WTP 2014.

Turistička prizma u saradnji sa Udruženjem turističkih novinara i pisaca u turizmu – FIJET Srbija, organizovala je trodnevnu posetu Vojvodini, od 3-5.10.2013. , za turističke novinare i tour-operatere iz 10 Evropskih zemalja. Putovanje pod nazivom “Dobrodošli u Vojvodinu” su takođe podržali i Turistička oragnizacija Vojvodine i Pokrajinski sekretarijat za privredu, zapošljavanje i ravnopravnost polova. Strani novinari iz (Slovenije, Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine, Crne gore, Makedonije, Mađarske, Bugarske, Slovačke i Češke) sa kolegama iz Srbije, posetili su Novi Sad, Sremske Karlovce, Frušku goru, Suboticu i Palić. Uz posete Vojvodđanskim gradovima i turističkim atrakcijama, upriličena je i poseta novinara 46. Međunarodnom sajmu turizma u Novom Sadu i workshop-u Turističke prizme – WTP 2013.
Turistička prizma has organised „Workshop by Turistička Prizma“ – WTP 2013 again this year, in cooperation with Novi Sad Fair. WTP 2013 was held as part of 46. International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad, on the second day of the Fair, at Congress Center Master.
As in previous years, WTP 2013 – a B2B tourism fair, was dedicated to a tour-operators, travel agencies, hotels and other accommodation companies, with the goal of intensifying cooperation between the travel industries of Western Balkan countries, as well as establishing better cooperation with the travel companies from neighboring countries and rest of the Europe.
WTP 2013 had 92 exhibitors form 10 countries. Having in mind that National Association of the Travel Agencies of Serbia held its general assembly at the Novi Sad Fair on the same day, and numerous travel agents being present at WTP 2013, many representatives of syndicates, schools and other educational institutions and other business people interested in doing business within this region, were present too.
Quality of the WTP 2013 is supported by positive statements of both visitors and exhibitors.
Novi Sad Fair announced that next-years Tourism fair – 47. International Tourism Fair, will be held on different time of the year – 24th to 27th of April 2014. Thus, WTP 2014 will be held at the same time as 47. International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad.[cincopa A0OA-SLTvyeH]
Turistička prizma started its action “for the new quality in tourism” 16 years ago. The idea from the mere beginning was to rise quality of services in tourism and stimulate inovative ventures.
